We are beginning our fourth year, meeting every Tuesday evening, to enjoy a relaxing tie together, working on projects individually, as well as helping each other, and fulfilling our mandate of helping to bring a little comfort and cheer in our own church and also our wider community, both home and abroad.
In the three years we have finished a wide variety of work, that we have distributed as we saw a need. We have taken part in church projects, and also passed on our finished quilts, comforters, shawls, scarves etc. to many places throughout the Waterloo area. We have also sold a few items in order to purchase needed supplies.
Many thanks for the money support from Emmanuel’s Mission Fund, as we work together for our community. Thank you for personal donations, of both fabric and wool. Thanks also to our “working at home alone” supporters. If you are new to Emmanuel, or have been with the church forever, if you have never picked up a sewing, crochet or knitting needle, and would like to learn or help….you are welcome to come and join us every week or even occasionally.
There are often a dozen of us gathered in our “Needle Craft Room”, each Tuesday evening from seven til nine o’clock. Please know you will be welcomed, and know also that you time and smile will add to the joy of working together, as we help others and enjoy getting to know each other!

** Also let us know if you become aware of some person whom we can help. Sometimes it doesn’t take much to brighten a person’s life, or bring a little joy to someone’s day. (Actually I just had the experience myself, and know it is appreciated).
