Wednesday, November 18 from 11:30am to 12noon: Learn how to Boost your Immune System with Dr Sarah Conners. More info.
Thursday, November 19th from 7:30pm to 9:00pm: Shrug off Stress to prevent Caregiver Fatigue – presented by me (7:30-9pm at Kids Ability). More info.
Wednesday, November 25 from 11:30am to 12noon: Lisa Loiselle the Associate Director of Research at the Murray Alzheimer Research and Education Program, in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, University of Waterloo will share some of her research. She focuses on the social critical aspects of Alzheimer Disease and related dementias, with the goal of translating the research results into practical, accessible way in which to educate and support people with dementia, partners in care and professionals working in the field of dementia care. Lisa’s strengths are in qualitative research and program evaluation and her interests include empowering individuals and communities through capacity building and involvement. More info.
Wednesday, December 23 we will have live harp music played by my 12 year old, Leela during our yoga class followed by a potluck social. My 16 year old, Kia has also offered to sing a few songs.

- University of Waterloo’s Research Institute for Aging (RIA) will have someone from their team provide a 30 minute presentation about the RIA and their activities to improve quality of life for older adults.
