At Emmanuel we try to provide Christian Development to members of all ages.
We have Sunday School for children aged 4 to 12, and children older then that are involved in Church School as teachers or teacher assistants. Our children attend the first part of the church service, and after a children’s time they leave the service for a one-room Sunday School experience, complete with music, crafts, and stories.
To give new parents time for worship, we have a paid child-care worker to run Cradle Care who with the help of members takes care of children from newborn to 3 years of age. We love and value our children at Emmanuel and know that church would be very empty without their presence.
Gord Spence leads our high-school aged Youth Group on Friday evenings, and is looking forward to facilitating a year of spiritually fulfilling activities. Youth Group activities range wildly, from games like Hide and Seek to discussing a bible verse to chasing each other through a pitch-black church with pillows!
For those past high school, Bible and Beers meets every Tuesday evening, usually at the Huether. Most of the members of this group are done high-school or university, but we aren’t very picky about who attends! The location does change from time to time so it’s worth joining our Facebook group or getting in contact with Devin.
For adults we periodically run a Bible Study lead by the minister. These sessions are well attended by the members of the congregation.
